What is it?

Make It Nelson is a curated programme of hands-on workshops running throughout June 2026 in Whakatū Nelson.

It’s a chance to try different types of making, learn practical skills, and spend time creating with others.

Sessions are led by experienced artists and creatives in studios and venues around central Nelson.

Most workshops are beginner friendly, with options ranging from half-day and full-day sessions to longer courses.

Who is it for?

Make It Nelson is for anyone interested in making, building, experimenting, or trying something new.

The programme brings together a mix of traditional and contemporary forms of making, from pottery to digital fabrication.

Come on your own and connect with others, or attend with a partner or friend.
